How do you derive your powder models?

We have several routes to derive and optimize our powder models over time:

STEP 1: The initial powder model is determined based on a combination of:

• Data provided by manufacturers, such as i.e. Reload Swiss (https://www.reload-swiss.com/Reload%20Swiss/Ladedaten/Download-Reload-Swiss.pro.zip)
• Closed bomb measurements
• A series of loads and testing by one of the German “Beschußämter” (https://www.beschussamt.de/) to determine velocity and pressure
• Powder equivalents as defined by the powder brands
• Own velocity measurements

Ongoing: Once the model is up and running, we optimize based on feedback and velocity measurements provided by website members. If deviations to real world measures are too far off, we conduct additional tests (see step 1).
