Yes — you can add both to any Diary load. Simply perform a calculation in the Internal Ballistics Calculator and click Save Load on the results page. The calculated load will then be stored automatically in your Load Diary.
Once saved, open the Load Diary and click on the respective entry to access the detail view. In the Details tab, you can add additional information to your load record, such as the exact primer used and the brass manufacturer.
Please note that primer brand or primer type is currently not considered in the ballistic calculation. The reason is that reliable and standardized data describing the exact energetic contribution of different primers is generally not available (see more details here). In practice, primers mainly influence ignition characteristics and consistency, while their direct impact on peak pressure and muzzle velocity is relatively small compared to factors such as powder type, powder charge, bullet seating depth, case capacity, and barrel length.
For this reason, ApexLOAD PRO allows you to document primers and brass in the Load Diary for completeness and traceability of your load development, while the ballistic simulation focuses on the parameters that have the largest and most predictable influence on internal ballistics.
